日本経済の低迷が続き、様々な分野でボーダレス化が進むなか、地球規模で活躍できる人材となる必要性が高まっています。それだけの力をつけるための環境を嘉治ゼミは目指しています。

"Students are expected to think independently and scientifically. In preparing for this seminar, they should spend their Hiyoshi years training themselves to ask questions, acquire information and find answers on their own. Applicants should pay attention to events happening around the world daily, and expose themselves to different viewpoints, comments and interpretations. In terms of language skills, a second language in addition to English is strongly encouraged.

Everything in this seminar is conducted in English. We welcome all students, including those who do not have any experience of living abroad, and those that participate in the Faculty of Economics' Professional Career Program (PCP), the Double Degree programme with Sciences Po and PEARL."

Admission Criteria:

"Good, solid knowledge in basic micro and macro economics

Fondness and habit of independent thinking

Eagerness to learn different languages and viewpoints"

Entry Examination (2019):

"Students who meet the requirements to enter PCP do not have to take the written examination, regardless of whether they apply to PCP

Written examination: macroeconomics and microeconomics questions in English, answer can be in Japanese or English

Oral examination: with the professor and students"
